Fast track to well being

Executive Coaching is a useful tool and one that many people would value. It is a regular dialogue with someone who asks constructive questions to get to the bottom of an issue of concern and guides a person towards finding the motivation to change a situation; person or event for the better.

There are several different approaches that Coaches can take and these fall in to two models; the 'push me' or 'pull me' models. The latter is a slower process where information is gently coaxed from an individual in order to help them thoroughly explore how they view something; why the difficulty has arisen, and how they can avoid falling in to the same behavioural pattern in the future. The benefit of this is that things are done thoroughly and it will suit a person who has the patience to explore situations and their view of them over some months. A change in their approach or behaviour is achieved through recognition of the problem; an exploration of the options available to them to encourage a different outcome than they have now, and the support mechanism that frequent connection with the Coach brings about.

The 'push me' method is different for two principle reasons: it is shorter in terms of the investment of time and more prescriptive in the way the Coach works. The same diagnostic is completed during the first session to get to the bottom of the problem. However, once the diagnostic is complete the emphasis switches to determining a solution and then acting on it even if the Coach is encouraged to suggest to the individual ideas they might not have thought of themselves. This means that the second session (and there are usually three), encourages an action plan to be shaped and put in to place. The individual is then motivated to effect change quickly and the final session reviews how they have done putting ideas for further action in to place if it is required.

Executives are often driven, goal seeking individuals motivated by results. It stands to reason therefore that they may respond better to the latter form of coaching and this is the reason why I designed the approach used by the Coaches of 'Whealth'. We 'fast track your well being' by putting you through a three stage process that gets to the bottom of an issue fast, develops an action plan for change, and reviews the success of it quickly. Taking action on a situation often reduces the stress and increases confidence thereby achieving results quickly.
